Ingredients
Scale
For 3 burgers
- 450g ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 hamburger buns (homemade)
- 6 leaves of lettuce
- 3 thick slices of onion
- 6 slices of bacon
- 3 thick slices of a large tomato
- 3 slices of cheddar cheese
- 6 slices of a pickle
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp mayo
- 8 drops of tabasco
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- You can prepare the meat an hour before cooking. Mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce and 1 egg yolk, shape into patties and place in the refrigerator.
- It is important to prepare everything in advance as the burger will be ready quickly. Take the burger patties out of the fridge and season generously with salt and pepper on each side. Cut the onion, tomato and pickle into thick slices. Wash the lettuce and let it dry.
- Also, prepare the sauce by mixing the necessary ingredients listed above.
- Have two pans ready. Fry meat in one and buns, bacon and onions in the other. Of course, you can use a grill if you have one.
- Fry the patties on each side for about 4 minutes. You can adjust the time to the degree of doneness you want. Turn the meat only once and place the cheese on top immediately after turning.
- Finally, just put all the ingredients together, in this order: bun, sauce, salad, tomato, patty, cheese, onion, bacon, pickle, sauce, bun.
Notes
Make the patties bigger and make a smaller depression in the center to prevent puffing up. The meat shrinks as it cooks.
Gently toast the bun and onion in a pan.
