Description
Do you like apple turnovers? Try to make these easy apple puff pastry turnovers at home. It will only take you 30 minutes and you will definitely love it.

- 260 g puff pastry
- 2 small apples
- 1/2 pear
- 100 ml apple juice
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (ground)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 egg for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 390 °F (200 °C). Cut apples and pear into small cubes and place them in a saucepan. Add the lemon juice and bring to a gentle boil.
- Mix apple juice with cinnamon and one tablespoon of cornstarch and add to the saucepan. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn the heat off.
- While allowing the apple filling to cool slightly, cut the puff pastry into approximately 10 cm squares. Place 2 or 3 tablespoons of the filling in the middle of the puff pastry. Brush the edges from the inside with an egg yolk and close the turnovers.
- Give the apple turnovers a nice egg wash from the outside. You can gently press with a fork and give them a nice pattern.
- Place in a preheated oven at 390 °F for about 17 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool down and enjoy your easy apple puff pastry turnovers!
Notes
When closing the apple turnovers, you can use a fork, too. It will give them a nice look.
Enjoy them with a nice hot cup of coffee.
